The owner of the area was sitting with some people and drinking. But what really done it was the waiter brought one of the kids plates out and was 15 mins before anyone of the others was brought out also it was just to kids at that point there were only 3 of the kids served and the 4 th child didn’t get served till 5-10 mins later and me and my husband got served afterward but the last person didn’t get served with in 45 min from the time we sat. There was other people came in and sat and was served with in this time.
Alright the food is awesome! Anyone who likes Mole I have to say I tried the Mole dip as a side with my meal and it was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy!Now the partial down side, we have eaten there several times and even when they are not busy the food always seems to take longer than one would expect. HOWEVER I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that the reason for the slow food prep is the quality. They are not rushing out the food they take their time with it and it shows in the food quality.
Restaurant half full on a Thursday at 7pm. Waited too long to be halfway greeted. Then the person that greeted us slowly cleaned a table just a dish or two at a time. Finally seated. 55 minutes after we ordered we Finally got our food. One dish was cold, another wasn't anywhere near what was ordered. There was a lady that came and explained to our table that a 45-55 minute wait is normal. There are more things that happened, but you get the idea. Not sure how this place is still in business.
This is one of our favorite Mexican spots. Service is usually a little slow regardless of how busy they are, but we are never in a hurry when we visit, so it doesn’t bother us. They seem to be short staffed (like nearly everyone else), so a little patience goes a long way. We had an incredibly sweet waitress this evening who checked in with us often. I think her name was Lucella (I’m sure I spelled that incorrectly). I can’t say I’ve ever had a bad meal here. We will certainly be back!

Food's cheap and tastes great! My destination for a meal for two under 20 bucks. *Update I still like Vega's but it's been consistently slow to get food out even with just a few customers. Prices have went up with economy, but it's still a decent deal. Parking: Standard lot with a loop around the building. Can get tight if a lot of trucks show up.
Great find off highway 11E in Jonesborough! Sitting on its own next to an auto repair. Great outdoor patio, great interior warm vibe. Service was excellent and food was fantastic! Super flavors and good size portions.
Food was disappointing. Salsa reminded me of ketchup. My steak was overcooked and tough. My husband‘s food was barely warm if that. The service was good and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Not sure if we’ll try it again.
I’m always on the go so I do the call ahead drive thru. Always friendly great you with a smile and my fav is the Enchilada Supreme with a side of rice. Great every time. I recommend them to all my friends
