Now, let’s talk about the food. The presentation was outstanding—everything looked freshly prepared and not just sitting in a warming tray. I particularly enjoyed the Fish Chips; it was definitely my favorite dish. The Mexi-Cali shrimp, minus the avocado corn pico, came in a close second. The Buffalo chicken taco was just okay for my taste. As for the slow-roasted Angus brisket taco, it wasn’t for me—after taking just a half-bite, I realized it didn’t sit well with my palate. However, someone else might enjoy it, so you might want to give it a shot. One notable addition was their red sauce, which had a nice little kick and was quite flavorful. I was searching Google for good reviews as I'm visiting Houston and wanted to try something I'd never had. I saw good things about this place so I decided to give it a try.I got brisket nachos and the chicken and waffle taco. 10 out of 10. I also tried the red velvet cake since velvet is in the name of the restaurant. It felt really heavy, but was extremely moist, and the taste was really good.I will definitely go back and try different tacos, because as was posted in the restaurant. They have a new taco every Wednesday. ?

The atmosphere at Velvet Taco in Houston was definitely odd but lovely. It seemed half of one vibe and half of another, but the food was SOOOO good! It was very different than the authentic Mexican food I am used to, but a good different! Not Tex-Mex atall, in my opinion. It was like a chef level creative spin on Mexican food and I absolutely loved it. Highly recommendedstopping by one. They have many different locations in different towns as well.

I can't say enough good things about this place. The people the food the atmosphere are fantastic. Obviously the food is what keeps you coming back and this was my first visit and if didn't disappoint. Now I see there is a closer location in the woodlands which I will be visiting shortly. I tried the rotisserie chicken and the pulled pork on this visit and both were amazing. Good news open very late as well. Reserva una mesa ahora

Honestly my sisters and I are from New York. You gotta show us to match the talk. Velvet Taco?! The customer service between their hostess Jami?! Absolutely AMAZING! 10/10 her customer service was absolute outstanding. She is truly a gem Velvet Taco isso extremely lucky to have an employee like herself! The Chefs!!! We?re so great as well. Definitley come visit you will NOTregret!

Not a great experience. The food order got lost in process and had to be started over after waiting for ten minutes. The shredded beef tacos were ok with flavor, but were minimally stuffed with meat (maybe an ounce each) and mostly grilled onions. The prices were high for what you get.

It seems that no matter what you get, you'll be very happy. These deliciously stuffed tacos make two a satisfying meal. The staff is quite friendly, and the atmosphere is clearly ready for fun at a moment's notice. I loved the grilled shrimp and thepork belly.

Love that they are open late. Love the Unique twist on tacos. Dog friendly place love bring my pup out here. Staff is always friendly and helpful with any menu questions. Restrooms are clean!

Always loved Velvet Taco!! Ordered a couple of seafood and vegetarian items. Everything was fantastic!!! I do feel it?s a bit pricey. But you know, we can?t have enough tacos in our lives!!!
