I think that most of these reviews were for the restaurant under the previous owners because there is no way this place should be 4.7 stars. Our previous experiences were so much better.When I went to pick up it was not busy at all. If it was then maybe I’d understand the lack of attention to the preparation of these dishes. VERY disappointing meal. Extremely bland, no seasoning on anything. Everything tasted the same and unless you specifically request extras the entire meal will be tasteless and dry chicken, cheese rice and bread.
Some of the most homey, authentic latin american comfort food you can find anywhere. We got chilaquiles con salsa verde, Papelon con limon, arepa de pollo, and pabellon. The chicken in the arepa tasted like some of the best seasoned pulled crock pot chicken I've ever tasted. The arepa was crispy. The chilaquiles were the best tasting plate out of them all. It had an addictive flavor that kept you wanting more. Perfectly balanced, perfectly seasoned food that was clearly passed down from generations.
Excellent food, and I'm excited to see where Venemex is headed in the future. The only criticism I've had is some of the protein has been overcooked shrimp and flank stank. The shredded chicken in particular is delicious. You can tell that the owner's put the time and effort into learning English, and it shows. This place is legit!!! I can't say much, I ordered 2 Arepa's, 1 for my son, and 1 for me, we both really enjoyed eating them?, the sauce that was on the side was great ?. The women who took my order didn't speak English,but was very cute so I didn't care and I got through it with my high school Spanish... ? I'm not from the neighborhood but if I'm there again I would definitely go back. Enjoy ?

Literally the greatest restaurant in the world. I’m Cuban , and had never tried Venezuelan food ,this place is amazing .. the Cachepas, the tostones with like Cole slaw on them .. the arepas , the empanadas .. the rice and beans , literally everything in this place is beyond amazing , super nice staff . One of my favorite all time places to order from !

Chicken empanada with the green sauce they put on the side was excellent. Order other things and everything was very good and fresh tasting but highly recommend the empanadas

The food here is one word , Amazing. It is a hidden gem. Everything from the lemonade is freshly made. I highly recommend coming here for amazing Latin food.
