Brilliant no frills place with great service and delicious pizzas.Situated on the promenade of the little town of Tazacorte with great views over the banana plantations below, the ocean and the impressive cliff of El Time, this restaurant is a popular haunt with tourists and locals alike. There is a large range of one size pizzas cooked fresh to order in the kitchen over the road and I have to say the two we had were both delicious. You can order extra ingredients for an extra euro per ingredient. Beer, wine and soft drinks are on offer and wine by the carafe is possible which is always good if only one of you is drinking or if one of you say likes red and the other white. The welcome was warm and the service very good. The promenade is popular with the locals and on a balmy Friday night it was great to see all the families out with their children and beginning to relax for the weekend. If you have room, the panna cotta is also to be recommended. There are usually a couple of specials of the day but essentially if great pizza and friendly service is what you are after this is your place. All with a great view and possibly a chance to watch Canarians enjoying life at first hand. Excellent value and highly recommended.
Enjoyed the view across the banana plantations and some shade under umbrellas on a hot humid afternoon. Only had coffees (cortadas) and cold drink but service was very polite and waiter very accommodating given my embarassing attempts at spanish mixed with other languages! We saw food being brought to another table which looked delicious so would have been happy to eat there had we not made other plans. We liked the town of tazacorte..lots of hidden treasures round every corner.
