Vera Pizzaria - Reserva de mesa

I was born in the Bronx and have struggled to find good pizza north of Westchester County for years. VERA's Sicilian-style pizza (check out the photos!) deserves a solid four stars, mainly for its crust. The texture is just right—crispy on the bottom and fluffy in the center, with the perfect amount of cheese. A little more sauce would make it absolutely perfect. Keep in mind, this isn't a place for atmosphere; it's a typical pizzeria with a few booths and a busy pizza oven. It can be easy to overlook unless you know where to look. It’s a small shop located in the same plaza as CVS, right next to a Chinese restaurant. TIP: Give their Sicilian pizza a try, but be sure to ask for extra sauce!

Slices are only as good as the pizza that originally came out of the oven, right? So given how good my slices of pepperoni were for lunch.... This was pepperoni pizza exactly the way I like it. The crust was approaching crispy, it would have been had it been left in the oven another 30 45 seconds, and the slices were of a pretty generous size too. I see they also do subs and dinners maybe one of these days I'll try some, but for now, it's about the pizza.

The pizza from Vera's is not always consistent, but when it's good, it's really good. The crust is crispy and the cheese is melty, like a quintessential NY style pizza should be. I just wish this was the case with EVERY pizza I order from them

Additionally to my previous post..:they do the best Grandma pie you're gonna get this side of the Hudson. Pomadoro, light cheese, perfect crust. Friendly and fast service. It's all good. Vera's the spot. Reserva una mesa ahora

We love the pizza and subs from Vera's. We have also had Vero's cater our family gatherings with excellent results. Everyone raves about the eggplant and antipasti salad.

Solid pie. I love that they deliver themselves, and are always super quick. They were also accommodating with my request for a heart shaped pie!
