Our meal at the VI restaurant was a treat of our stay at this charming Inn. My wife had the chicken pot pie and commented that it might be the best pot pie she had ever eaten and she is a big fan of pot pies so that was saying something It was rich and filling with a nice crispy puff pastry crust on top. She said that what made it special for her was that there was truffle oil on top that gave it extra richness and depth of flavor. A plus on her meal for sure. I had fish and chips. Very disappointing! Walked in to VI at 8pm for dessert to go and were denied service. It's a Saturday night, we didn't realize you closed at 8. We were treated rudely and we're staying at this establishment. Up until now our Ferndale experience was great. Next time we will stay at an Air bnb. We were visiting from out of town and really enjoyed our dinner at this restaurant. The atmosphere was romantic and we will definitely return the next time we're in the area.
Food not cooked to order lukewarm vegetables. Dessert pre frozen pudding which I felt sick all night after eating it. Very pricey for such a poor meal
The prime rib served on Sunday is one of the best Ive had. Medium rare was exactly medium rare. Locally sourced, very tender, excellent choice
