This place is a gem of a find. A quality and authentic Italian dining experience. It's quietly tucked away on the more residential side of southern Miami Beach at 15th and Alton. Those who know understand: what it lacks in Miami Beach pretension it more than makes up for in authenticity. Started with the prosciutto and stracciatella and Parmigiano drizzled with a balsamic reduction served with a dollop of BR pearls. The warm stracciatella was better than butter spread over the freshly-made crisped bread. The tagliatelle al funghi was supreme. I have always been graciously accommodated, even when they looked full. The food is fresh and delicious and portions are just right. I have especially enjoyed a pasta dish with langoustine; I wish there was more langoustine, LOL, but it is so tasty. Also, the calamari appetizer is delicious. Have had that with a salad as a meal. The chocolate cake, so simply described in the menu, is chocolatey deliciousness.
Totally worth it! One of the best Italian restaurants tried in the US. All dishes are authentic Italian, all ingredients imported, nice selection of wine and desserts. The place is cozy and very authentic, the staff is friendly and loves to have a chat (do not understand why people have complained about rude staff). If you are looking for great Italian food, I totally recommend this place
You can fly to Italy or have dinner at Via Emilia, you won’t notice the difference ! This place is a breath of fresh air in Miami. The quality of the ingredients is exceptional. The decor, the food, the wine, the ambiance will take you on a journey to Italy. The staff is adorable.
