Via Marcello - Reservar una mesa

There are not too many restaurants in our area of St Laurent Quebec Canada so my husband have I have decided to try the ones available. Last night our friends were visiting for the weekend we decided after a long day of playing tourist in our city. We decided on Via Marcello on Côte Vertu was somewhat apprehensive especially since we were with our friends but decided to be adventurous. Was not disappointed the fresh pasta was to all our tastes we each chose a different pasta dish all excellent. The service was great and our waiter quite funny. There are a few others in that strip which we will try again. The only disappointment was the house wine we should have ordered a bottle of our choice...

This restaurant serves Italian and Canadian cuisine and is a good place to go for groups (6 and over). It is large with ample spacious seating and with a menu that has something for everyone, from the classical choices of Italian cuisine ( pizza, pasta, veal etc.) to steaks, chicken, sandwiches, burgers, fish and seafood.I had the opportunity to visit recently for dinner as part of a group of 8. We shared a few Greek salads and then each ordered their main. I chose the large scallops sautéed in oil and garlic with wild rice and grilled vegetables; my spouse took the pepper steak with the trimmings (from the table d'hôte of that evening). I went to Via Marcello for supper. First off, they have a large terrace outside. Inside, it is spacious. The menu was vast and had authentic Italian food and the prices were acceptable, with plates between $20 and $40 approximately. It's a nice setting for a family or even a date restaurant. The service was friendly and quick. No complaints whatsoever. I had the smoked salmon with alfredo pasta and rosé sauce, very good.

To be honest I'm not the biggest fan of Italian food but I really liked the food and we all enjoyed it. The prices seems to be reasonable (I mean like everywhere else). The waitress was nice and polite. The restaurant is well located and easy to access. They also have a huge free parking lot which gives another benefit for them.Good to try it !

My husband and I chose this restaurant as it was close to our hotel, the Days Inn on Cote Vertu. Menu had a good selection of food and wine. I had the Marcello pizza and my husband had the lasagna. Both were tasty, but nothing to gush about. Not many patrons as it was a Sunday evening. Large restaurant. Nicely decorated. Clean.

Avec de bons amis, je suis allé partagé une lasagne. Dans mon histoire de goûter au lasagne, je trouve que c'est elle qui est la meilleure. Cela vaut le déplacement. Nous entrons dans ce restaurant où l'accueil est plus que sensationnel, C'est rare. Je leur souhaite de rester là le plus longtemps possible.

Went for lunch. Restaurant was almost empty at noon in a Thursdsy. Ordered a Mediterranean salad with a grilled chicken filet on top. The chicken was dry And tough, the salad greasy and bland. Not worth the $20 price tag (with coffee). Better places to go!

Via Marcello is great for parties of 10 -20 people, family birthday celebrations, sports teams or business. Food is fast and delicious. Good service with a smile, Never ending coffee at breakfast.

Went there for brunch with friends and enjoyed it. the service was a little slow but overall it was all good. Will go there again.

It was a packed house but we still had great service..the food is still very good.a nice selection of menu items all day
