Tried New York New York for our sons 14th Birthday midweek treat as it seemed to offer a straightforward steak and chips and he's fussy - doesn't like the fancy stuff. We got that in the end but it was strange to be told be couldn't replace the poncy mash or baked potato offering with fries initially - being told we had to order the fries as a side order. On top of either the baked potato or mash. So not a great start. We went to the restaurant for the first time on Saturday night. Had read a number of trip advisor reviews and whilst a number were positive some were critical, mainly relating to service and lateness in getting meals.We did not this night experience this at all in fact was quite impressed with the waitress who took us to our table and advised us who our server was to be. The server was very good. I had the pork ribs and they were very good, my wife enjoyed her meal as did our friends with theirs. No waiting time for entre or main meal, little bit slower with deserts but not an issue, all in all a very good night and will go back.
Well, i went with great expectations, and guess what, after booking a table ,i was not informed of change of menu, no prawns, okay next best beef spare ribs, guess what no beef spare ribs. I order a few oysters ,only to send them back as not a great smell,my appetite is dwindling, ended up sharing a burger, only to get the bill and charged for the beef ribs.. No, won't be heading that way any time soon. The waitress was great though can't blame er for it..
Been here twice now, 1st time was drinks only and enjoyed ourselves. 2nd time yesterday on a Sunday afternoon. Nice place to sit at the bar and listen to some music and enjoy some reasonable priced drinks. Dinner started at 5.30 and had a couple of little issues, nothing too bad, just annoying, ie ordered some bread which never came out and the potato came out luke warm, however the Sirloin steak medium rare was spot on. Overall I would return again

Great service, staff were friendly and professional, food was spectacular. Highly recommend it and will go back often. This is the third time in as many weeks that I have returned to this restaurant. That is due to the service and the food.
My family and I went for breakfast this morning service was okay my eggs where poached perfectly my wife's omelet was perfect and our guests enjoyed the pancakes light and fluffy did not have to wait long very fast thanks new York new York
Would like to think this is a great place to meet etc however is expensive compared to other places however the owner now has taken over the opposition so who knows where we are going to go for a reasonable lunch or breakfast
Great location, staff good, food questionable, pork belly not great, blue cheese dressing on Cobb Chicken Salad missing ?? Burgers average fries were good.

The bar is nice place to meet people for a casual drink. Great rang e of snack foods available along with a full menu. around good restaurant
