I've been visiting this restaurant for years, but I've noticed some changes that I can't quite put my finger on. The bakery items and sweets are less flavorful than they used to be, and the prices seem unreasonably high. The atmosphere of the place isn't as inviting as it once was, either. It's possible that there are new owners, or maybe something else is going on, so there's a chance things could improve in the future. While I think it's still worth stopping by occasionally, my main concern is the high prices. Normally, I wouldn't mind paying a premium for higher quality and a better experience, but right now, the prices feel at least 20% too high for what you get.

I hadn 't been to a Vie de France in many years and used to only get pastries at this one but regularly had lunch at others. Here, I got two sandwiches (chicken salad on a croissant and a roast beef/cheese on a roll. The chicken salad not only was tasteless but also soggy, while the roast beef was completely dry, with nothing resembling cheese and the bread was far more than a day old.The pastries I bought were fine, but I would avoid this location for anything resembling sandwiches. The included bags of chips were fine but one was (slightly) past the 'sell by ' date.

Eating at Vie de France is a bit like dining in Paris the outside dining cafe where you can people watch while enjoying your food and refreshments. The only thing missing is the Seine River. Unfortunately the Seine is replaced with a parade of a variety of cars and the outside patio furniture is unstable. Even a touch of arrogance is in the air. The tomato basil soup was flavorful and delicious and came with a baguette. The baguette was unbelievable, light and crunchy

The pastries are bland, and the sandwiches taste like they came from the grocery store. The beignets are not true beignets; they are merely soggy, flavorless pieces of bread coated in sugar. The service is subpar, and Tgist would benefit from customer service training. I recommend avoiding this chain. Reserva una mesa ahora

The sandwich was delicious. Typically I never buy sandwiches anywhere but a coworker recommend the place. Also their dessert section left a lasting memory, and I want more! Red velvet treat was the best in the west (Bethesda).

Came here after hiking at the C&O canal and the tiramisu really hit the spot. They seemed to have a large selection of items, many more exciting things to try, so perhaps we will come back when in a similar situation.

Surprisingly they don’t show any prices. It’s a big mystery. The pea soup was awful, so was the lemon cake. The location is excellent though . But that’s all there is.

The perfect neighborhood deli with gracious and friendly staff. I was surprised to find good crispy jelapis during Ramadan. Excellent service all around. Reserva una mesa ahora
