Have driven past this place so many times and wanted to stop. Finally did it! Plenty of seats so didn’t look like reservations were necessary unless some special event is happening of course . Plenty of shade and parking. You can also walk through the trails if you live close enough. Will be bringing my toddler back to play on playground while we can relax and enjoy the view! They also had a dog park in front that was fenced in not much shade so maybe not in the heat of summer . I ordered from what looked like a seasonal menu that had quite a bit of spargel on it . Good eclectic food: local Frankfurt cuisine, Italian antipasti and pasta, some Indian specials. Nestled in the forest at the intersection of hiking trails, Great views of Frankfurt cityscape in the distance make for a nice setting, and there's a meadow and play areas for kids and families beyond the outdoors seating area. Great destination for weekend outing. Plenty of parking.

Great place for outdoor dining. Restaurant is located in a remote area surrounded within a natural area. Food was good and portion was decent. Recommend making reservations and bring a jacket.

Scenic view from the restaurant . We took a walk through the wild to viehweide and it was so refreshing. We ordered indian dishes and it was authentic . I highly recommend
