5 miles out on my Fife Coastal path hike with 2 dogs in tow, thinking to myself, as I arrived at the foot of the Tay train bridge, I really fancy a coffee! The View Restaurant was nearby so we took a small detour. What a gem of a place with caring staff who take the time to say hello, a fabulous menu (I really wasn't expecting that) a talented chef and the result is one (no sorry 3, the dogs got sausages each) very satisfied customers. If you are ever in the area it is definitely worth making time for a full dining experience here.

Family party of ten enjoyed dinner at this restaurant. Service was fantastic as was the food. The meals where All presented with care. Tasted delicious. Nothing left on any plate. All of the above is what is expected from any restaurant but many can't deliver this . Well done team The View One thing was missing tonight and that was the spectacular view but it was foggy outside so we will let them off. Only one other thing to say. Thank you.

I've not been here for a while. Used to visit quite often. Looks nice, the food was well presented and tasty, and the service was good too. My only negative point would be the price. In my personal opinion, I think the increases since my last visit were a bit steep for lunch. Three open sandwiches, one small soup, one tea, and one coffee. No other drinks. The bill came to £56...

Lovely staff, good helpings of delicious, hearty food and reasonable prices. Nice decor inside, beautiful views of the railway bridge and Dundee across the river, and the bathrooms were clean and new. They allowed us to sit out in a cabin out the back, as we had a dog with us, and it was snug and comfy as it has its own heater. There are also outside tables. I would go again! Always a delight to visit The View. Today was no exception. I ordered the confit of duck and it was amazing, cooked to perfection. Love this place.

Magdalen Green is a beautiful park overlooking the River Tay It's Dundee's oldest city park with an old Victorian Bandstand right in the middle.

The food was exceptional, we couldn't fault it. The service was excellent. Very friendly and welcoming. Have booked again for another day.
