Ordered takeout on a Sat night. The Napolitano pizza, once reheated at home on a stone, was pretty good, and worth the cost, but they completely lost us on the appetizer. We ordered the insalata caprese...and that alone was enough to turn us off entirely from this place. At $16, first problem was there was ZERO spring mix present (mentioned in description) and the container was over half empty! There were 3 slices of tomatoes and mozzarella, about 5 olives, 2 slices of prosciutto, a big pile of roasted red peppers, 6 cut artichoke hearts, and a sprinkling of sundried tomatoes. Ok I like all those components individually, the artichokes were well seasoned, the sundried tomatoes were disjointe...
Took my mom here and she loved it! The rest of us did too. The food is excellent and the portions are very generous. Villa Barone does something that I haven?t seen in a long time and that is including salad and side pasta with entrees. Everything was delicious and we took home enough for another meal. Collingswood, NJ is a dry town so BYOB! Liquor stores can be found a short drive up the road toward Haddonfield, NJ. Make a reservation in advance: I find that this area of NJ has a very social vibe and going out to dinner on Friday and Saturday nights is a regular occurrence so without a reservation, you may be eating at 10pm or not at all.
This restaurant is a great choice for a romantic evening or a special celebration. The atmosphere, service, and overall experience were excellent. We ordered the Linguini Frutta Di Mare, Tagliatelle Cacio e Pepe, and Calamari Fritti. The calamari was cooked perfectly, although it could have used more seasoning. The freshly baked bread was a nice addition. I asked for my Linguini Frutta Di Mare with a garlic white wine sauce and it was delicious. The Cacio e Pepe was a bit too intense for our taste. One thing to note is that their sodas come in glass bottles, so refills are not offered.
We had an absolutely amazing experience at Villa Barone! Our recent visit to the restaurant only solidified our love for this place. The food, especially the pizza and shrimp, was exceptional as always. Our waitress was very attentive and prompt. This has become our go-to spot whenever we all get together, it's like a tradition for us now. Our waitress even allowed us to recreate a photo from our first review, which was a nice touch. We would definitely make the trip over the Ben Franklin Bridge again for this pizza. Keep up the great work, we will definitely be back!

We started our meal with pumpkin ravioli and the appetizer barone. For lunch, we had eggplant ravioli, zuppa di pesce, and Mediterranean salad. Everything was delicious, including the bread with olive oil and spices. The restaurant has a beautiful interior and the outdoor decor and music create a perfect ambiance for enjoying a fantastic meal. Our waiter, Jack, was polite, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Overall, great service, atmosphere, and food!
I visited this restaurant for the first time. The Calamari Fritti, Eggplant Parmigiana, and Zuppe were delicious - definitely 5 stars. However, the Penne Tartufo was not as fresh as my other orders; it seemed like it was frozen food from a microwave or Walmart meal. It wasn't bad, but it didn't feel like a restaurant dish. Despite this, the staff was friendly and the restaurant had a great atmosphere.
We were here for a party with a limited menu. Atmosphere was comfortable. Limited menu (for the party) was very good. BYOB allowed. Worth a return visit if it wasn't so far out of my home territory. I liked what I had, but without having an opportunity to explore the full menu I can't say that I loved it.
Food, service and prices were great! Will definitely come back.
