We recently celebrated another special occasion at Villa D'Este, enjoying fantastic cuisine, excellent service, and live music from a talented pianist and vocalist on Friday night. It was a joy to revisit this hidden gem in San Francisco, known for its affordable prices and high-quality dishes. The experience was truly amazing in terms of both taste and value.
The restaurant had a musty smell, likely due to the foggy weather giving everything a faint mildew scent. The atmosphere seemed geared towards an older clientele, aged 60 and up. The food was decent but not outstanding. I would recommend trying a different dining option.
The meal was enjoyable, but the service was quite slow. We arrived at 5:40pm and didn't leave until around 8pm. This is not an ideal restaurant to visit if you're in a rush. Despite the wait, we still had a pleasant dining experience.
Awesome experience. Very friendly all around and the owner is FANTASTIC. So much history that I’m not sure SF even realized what a treasure this establishment is. We will be back a minimum of once a month. Reserva una mesa ahora
The primi piatti were very small. The alcohol was very expensive. The main courses could have been warmer. The flavor of the food was good and the venue was nostalgic.
Monday Night Supper Club dinner specials were fabulous. Combine it with a 2 hr caberet show. Food continues to be like a down to earth holiday dinner
Neighborhood gem with an atmosphere that should be experienced! Like dining in a grand era theater, but as a cherished family member.
