I’ll be honest, a few years ago I viewed the famous video of their infinity pool and knew one day I wanted to visit this hotel. So we added it to the long list of properties we hoped to visit. We absolutely love traveling to Switzerland so when we knew we’d be visiting in 2019 we decided to incorporate this property in our itinerary as our last stop. This is definitely a five-star hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly as you would expect. The service is very good. The gym by the way is really nice! The food at breakfast was exceptional. We dined at the restaurant both evenings and really enjoyed our experience. Our waiter, the same both times, was amazing! Of all the dishes we tried one...
If you’re visiting Luzern and have a car, it is worth your while to drive up to this Hotel/ restaurant or even stay there, but it is on the more expensive side. The drive up really nice small road great view and a spectacular view at the top. We had reserved a table on the terrace so had a nice view over the Alps and lakes. The menu has a good selection of food as well as interesting menu of the day proposition that we had you can take the whole menu or just parts of it fo the smaller eaters. It was excellent. That’s my second time here... Nothing to say about the beauty of the place, but the service lost something in the meanwhile... We had dinner at the hotel for 3 times in row (we didn’t won’t to drive around, just full relax and 2 our of 3 the service was extremely slow and not attentive enough... Again, if it was a normal hotel (price wise then you could kind of let it go...but, in this case, price for value has been really low.. We had to chase the waitress sever times during the dinner: for the menus first, then for the bread, then for the water, etc etc... When I reach, they told me room ready, so went up, but end up my room not ready, told me need 30-60 minutes, they left me at the cafe, and not a single waiter came to take my order. Went to reception to make some noise after an hour and Finally got my room, view was amazing, went swimming, (I guarentee you are paying mostly just for that one photo) Dinner at restaurant Order took 40 minutes to arrive, Food quality good, but I think understaffed at the restaurant, flies buzzing everywhere INSIDE the indoor area DO NOT order the trout!
