I didn’t know what to expect but my girlfriend raved of the authentic food and wide variety of wines available. My kind of place, was my first thought. From the moment we were greeted to the hugs when we left, it was by far one of the best experiences of Italian food, ambiance and warmth I’ve ever had. Tony from New Jersey was both charming and funny, welcoming and helpful. He knows his stuff! The wine variety is extraordinary! Very disappointed. Went there many years ago, it was very good, decided to try again, was not happy. It was very expensive, over the top expensive.The servers were not personable and seemed rushed. For starters they put a little dish of pizza out, it was not fresh and very salty. The bread was stale and not good, I was expecting fresh warm buns. I ordered tortellini, it was terrible, too much garlic, chunks of dried meat and salty. Our friends said their meal was just O.K. , nothing to rave about. For dessert I ordered their version of crème brûlée at $15.00, it was a very small portion and had no taste.I know things have gone up since Covid, but the quality went way down. I really wanted to like this place as the service was quaint and felt like a family business run in a clasic way.Unfortunately the food was just disappointing. I payed 103$ for frozen mini shrimp in my extremely salty risotto, while my girlfriend had ravioli that were also tremendously salty and hard. They tasted undercooked and frozen.To the owner: please reduse the prices if you are going to serve below average food. I really want to see this place turn itself around.

Mushrooms and prosuito rare in the pasta a la gigi. Tasted more like spaghetti in Kraft macaroni and cheese sauce.It was so dark in the place, we needed our flashlights from cell phones to read the menu. Makes you wonder what they were trying to hide.The alcohol is very expensive and you get the sense that the pasta dishes were put together on a strict budget all the while charging you the big bucks. This was an awesome time. As usual, I have been going to this restaurant for over 30 years, and today, I went with my kids who loved the food and especially Tony they were very impressed

One of the best italian restaurants around Montréal. The staff is so friendly and the food is exquisite. Prime ingredients classic recipies executed with perfect technique every time.
