I have visited this restaurant a few times. The staff is always very friendly. I have tried the full English breakfast and some bacon sandwiches. The food is decent, but it is not the best traditional breakfast I have had. It is more like basic 'greasy spoon' type food. It would be nice if they had some more unique or special menu items. For example, the cooked tomatoes are from a tin rather than fresh, and the sausages are average quality, not like the high-quality farm sausages you might expect in a country location. Overall, the restaurant is good but has the potential to be better. The coffee is not great, and they seem to have issues with accepting card payments at times. It would be be...

My recent visit to this cafe was prompted by running out of gas at a nearby festival. Despite being extremely busy, the staff informed us of a possible wait time, which we were fine with. The interior was clean and pleasant, the staff were friendly and hard working, but most importantly, the food was excellent. Despite the rush, our meal was cooked to perfection with great quality ingredients. The bubble and squeak was particularly delicious. I would highly recommend this cafe, as it offers good prices and a lovely atmosphere.

We popped in here for a quick drink and found it to be very friendly with quick service. It's bigger than you think when looking from the outside with ample, suitably spaced seating. The prices are good and the food that we saw being served certainly looked freshly-cooked with generous portions. There's public parking just around the corner and the cafe is located on the main high street. We'll certainly visit again, probably to sample the food next time.

I visit Stansted Abbotts occasionally to visit my sister who lives there. During most of my visits, I always make sure to stop by the Village Cafe for breakfast. Each time, the kind lady at the counter greets us warmly and takes our order promptly, while the friendly waitress is always willing to assist and engage in pleasant conversation. I am eagerly looking forward to my next visit.

This must be the best café in town. It is clean, friendly, and offers large portions of freshly cooked food. There is also a parking area across the road, which I think is called Rat House. It is not suitable for vehicles larger than 3.5 tons, however.

Great “old style” breakfast! I’ve eaten here fairly regularly over the last couple of years. The venue is clean, the food is always cooked well and the staff offer a very friendly service….nothing os too much trouble.
