I am giving this place two stars because of the owner and the way he tried to intimidate me when I had the audacity to complain about the galaktoboureko I bought. They make a nice gyro, and they historically have offered good galaktoboureko. I was unsatisfied with the galaktoboureko I purchased today; the custard was not yellow, it was mostly phyllo dough, and it was laden with too much honey. I called and asked for a refund or a fresher piece. I was told they use a new vendor, nothing is wrong with the piece I had and to microwave it. After telling them I was not going to do that, they said I can come get a refund. When I arrived for my refund, the manager told me to wait a second. She then...
Want reminisce old times in Greece...visit Village Gyro! Wow, for those coffee lovers like myself you gotta try the frappe!!! The hummus is devine with the pita bread. And to top it all off I even had Greek soda and shopped for Greek coffee...the little shop they have going is definitely value added to the experience. It's like visiting Greece in NJ. Took some baklava home to try. Diamond in the rough!!! Must visit.
Recently moved to the area and have been ordering gyros from here atleast 1x per week. The gyros are amazing! The flavor, freshness of the tomatoes, cucumber, the meat, the tzatziki sauce generous serving. Staff has been friendly too! My favorite local restaurant!
Very cute little place! The people were kind, the food is excellent! My husband and I had the gyros, the best hummus we’ve ever had hands down, and dolmades— we will absolutely be back Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly!! They were so nice to my 1.5 year old!

I purchased 3 of their gyro platters and this definitely does NOT look anything like it's worth $82. Please don't try them. There's a pile of weird soggy onions underneath these thick chunks of dry flavorless chicken.
Ultimately, both Greek and Turkish cuisines are delicious with some overlap. If you are torn between the two you can't go wrong with the Village Gyro. Fabulously delicious!!!
The food was delicious, I came here after seeing there was seemingly some dedication to quality. I was not disappointed at all! Amazing phyllo texture!
Not sure what is more filthy the kitchen or the owners. Local Board of health should shut this place down

Great place for authentic Greek cuisine. Always good service and reasonable prices.
Nice place, excellent food with a sizeable vegetarian menu. Staff is very friendly.
