We stayed in Baddeck for a couple of nights during a week-long trip to NS this summer. We'd already had one meal in town (Baddeck Lobster Suppers) and were looking for another spot for the second night. We settled on this place. The dining room was cozy - a little tighter than I'd usually like. The service was nice and friendly. The food was fine, but probably below average for our trip (we had some great meals in NS).There was a live musician playing the night we were there, who we didn't enjoy. The music was much too loud for that small room, and he was a little goofy.Overall, it was an okay meal. We'd probably look for somewhere else next time, though.

We showed up in Baddeck in the peak of the season on a weekend a bit late in the day and we, like the zillion of other tourists, were tired and hungry. Come 7:00 pm we were all waking the streets like exhausted zombies looking for some food and a place to sit down. The most popular places were jammed so we didn't elect to try any of those and wait out the line. We found Village Kitchen in the back. Basic diner food, but good, fast, and made us feel a whole lot better.

This is a pretty plain place with an average menu and limited wine and beer choices. The food was nicely prepared (I had the fish and chips, which I thought quite good,) presentation was unimaginative and service was good. I suspect the folks who frequent the Village do so because it is both consistent and reliable; it is apprently the only game in town after Canadian Thanksgiving.

The restaurant seating is small, but quaint. The service is very fast and friendly. The meals are reasonably priced, and well portioned. You won't get any special or fancy meals in the Village Kitchen, but you will get nice home cooked meals. You may want to consider other restaurants in Baddeck over this place. This is a small restaurant right in the middle of Baddeck and just a few steps off the main street. The food is very good and the service is friendly and fast. Prices are very reasonable. A good place to meet tourists and locals alike.

I thought this little restaurant/bakery was great. Everything is very fresh and delicous. We ate there twice and did not disappoint. Scones were huge and delicious, the bowl of oatmeal was huge and filling. Everything looked wonderful.

Nice homestyle fare for back to basics dinners. Breakfast is good value, as are all meals. Friendly staff. Spotless little diner. Parking can be a challenge. Reserva una mesa ahora
