Villiers Coffee House

My grown up son, his 1 year old granddaughter and I were walking to a local swing park and felt a bit hungry as it was close to lunchtime. It's a smart hipster looking cafe that wouldn't look out of place in Farringdon or Shoreditch. We decided on a couple of pastrami and cheese sandwiches on display on the counter, a couple of drinks, and sat outside as it was a warm day. It wasn't cheap, but what arrived was nicely toasted quality bread, warm pastrami, melted cheese with sliced pickle. The pickle kept the granddaughter occupied as she half chewed sucked it happily while I enjoyed my sandwhich and breakfast tea made with loose tea leaves. There is no doubt that Villiers serves the best coffee in the Watford area. I have been drinking espresso in London for years, and many coffee shops have disappointed me. Villiers consistently delivers high-quality coffee, using Origin beans which I personally love. The restaurant is always busy and offers great food, but make sure to arrive early as they tend to sell out quickly.

Their first try at a cheese and wine night was a sell out, and rightly so. Generous boards of appetisers, meats and cheeses at Very Good prices. Passable wines, choice of one red or one white, or beer. Cheerful and attentive staff made it an enjoyable experience. Would have liked a variety of breads and salad to be available to accompany the boards,

Visited with my boyfriend for coffee and cake. We considered breakfast/lunch too, however the prices were too high for the quality of food and drinks served, in our opinion. If the prices were lowered/deals added, I'd definitely consider going more. More generally, the coffee shop's decor looks trendy and its staff are very outgoing. Reserva una mesa ahora

We go in here all the time. Absolutely lovely place.. Often lacking in seating though (very popular locally, so get here early for a good seat).. Lovely cakes and treats, somewhat lacking in a range of foods however certainly have some interesting and different sandwiches for you to try.

I love having this coffee shop as a local spot. The coffee is nice and it has a cozy village atmosphere. The service can be slow, so don't expect to grab your coffee quickly. It has a trendy Hoxton-like appearance and is a great place to relax and work from.

The restaurant is located in a pleasant area with a relaxed and laid-back atmosphere. It is a bit pricey for what you get, catering to the affluent locals. However, the quality matches the price. Unfortunately, there are not many options for vegetarians.

We really wanted to try a non-chain cafe and were very pleased to find this. The coffees were lovely and the home-made cakes delicious. The two members of staff there were very helpful and welcoming. It wasn't a cheap option but lovely. Reserva una mesa ahora
