I called the restaurant, and they had to consult the chef, who claimed the basil was under the cheese. After searching through the pizza, I was met with the unfortunate surprise of finding not a single piece of basil! This is a disgrace to Vincent's name and his longstanding business. This place has gone through multiple ownership changes since its heyday. The new advertisements suggest some connection to the original owners, but I don't believe they truly represent the legacy that's been around for 48 years. To be honest, any reviews from the past ought to be disregarded. I tried two slices—one plain and one with sausage. The plain pizza was undercooked, while the sausage was fine, but both crusts had a stale, cardboard-like taste. The toppings lacked flavor. I used to enjoy an entire pie from Vincent's by myself in the past, but I have no plans to go back.

It's puzzling why the staff had difficulty serving our party of two with such a straightforward order. The restaurant was empty, and there were few visible take-out or delivery orders, yet our meal arrived in a staggered and significantly delayed manner. The food was decent, and the staff seemed well-intentioned.

One of the best NY style pizzas to eat in the state of New Jersey. The cheese and sauce is perfect. Nice crispy crust too. They even allow you to bring your own beer!!! Will definitely return!
