This business has gone downhill. Before Yobi sold the whole Zinga franchise, their frozen yogurt was a hit. It tasted great, had a nice, big seating area, both inside and outside, and their employees were very nice and knew what they were doing. It was also very cheap, with them always having a discount when you checked out with your fro-yo, compared to other frozen yogurt shops. But then Zinga decided that they no longer want to run their business anymore, so all the Zingas got bought by Yobi to make more bucks. When that happened, the frozen yogurt was gross. The Virginia ABC shops are entirely government-owned, meaning all revenue goes directly to the government. It operates as a monopoly, with no competition allowed, which I believe epitomizes the situation. In my opinion, these shops can be intimidating places to shop. They are small, offer a very limited selection, and have high prices, all within a rather stark environment. I’ll admit that the surreal experience of shopping there has its own unique aesthetic appeal, which is why I’m giving it 5 stars.
Today, I set out to find a high-quality gin for an upcoming event. The knowledgeable staff member could discuss everything from the priciest gins to the most unique options, like gunpowder gin, and even the smoothest and most flavorful choices. Interestingly, their top recommendation for the best taste was only half of my budget. Thank you!
Decent whiskey selection, Tequila and gin lacking. Staff is friendly. Overall good store for it's size.
