Virginia Inn - Reserva de mesa

If you’re a POC then think twice before eating at this restaurant. Ordered shrimp and grits. Asked the waitress (middle aged, blonde woman) if the dish had any pork products as I can’t have any due to religious dietary restrictions; she said she didn’t think so. I had a bite or two and grew suspicious. So I asked another restaurant staff who confirmed it did have pork in it. Because kitchen had closed for the night by the time I had the pork confirmation, I didn’t want to add more work for the kitchen staff ordering something else. This waitress was so rude, had no empathy while interacting with me. You’d think that she would have deducted the line out of courtesy considering I didn’t end up...

We were attracted to the atmosphere. A chill place to get a quick lunch on a patio. We waited 10min for anyone to acknowledge us, (you could say hi welcome, will be right with you) offer a table. We ordered 2 of the same drink. The server only brought one. We order two salads with salmon. One arrived with chicken. The server passed by multiple time without checking in. We had to go out of our way to ask for anything. In the end I would give this place another chance. They had an inattentive server on a busy day. Everything else was good.

We stopped by Virginia Inn completely by chance, after coming in on a late flight and struggling to find somewhere with dinner availability. The meal, service, and ambience were great. The house steak sauce is DIVINE. Also shoutout to the team for sending me the recipe to the steak sauce so I can enjoy it at home in the Mitten State until I make it back to the west coast for another visit!

Good food. Unaccommodating service. We arrived for brunch at 10:45 am, and most of the restaurant was empty. We asked the hostess if we could be seated at one of the empty booths, and she hesitated and asked that we sit in the front or back of the restaurant (not booths). Totally passive aggressive. I am GF and this restaurant had so many delicious options, I highly recommend their salmon and clam chowder and check out the fish and chips because those are gluten-free too!

The seasoning of this shrimp is really delicious. We ate it together. The waiter very thoughtfully divided it into two small portions for us. We had a pleasant dinner.

Really cute place in downtown Seattle. Didn't wait for a table around lunchtime on a Sunday. Frittata kept me full all day.
