Chose this primarily as other reviewers said it was a friendly place when dining alone and I found that to be true. I reserved and was seated at the bar, where I was well looked after. This is a truly TINY place (?25 people when full) and very popular. The chef cooks right behind the bar so you can watch everything. Food is very simple with limited choices but it was all delicious and interesting. Got good advice for interesting wines by the glass. If you are alone though be aware this is not the best part of Paris.... I felt a bit uncomfortable walking by myself especially after dark. I would say don't miss if you are in the neighborhood. I am not sure I would travel across Paris to eat there though. Price is very good for the quality of food & experience.
living cellar was my canteen, a kindness waiter, knew wine by heart, not to mention the chef. We went to see the new living with the change of owner and leader (early 2017): the cata! the waiter did not serve me at all the desired type of wine (from the south and fruity and nature, not complicated), or end of the second test, he put me 3 bottles on the counter and told me to test those. The food is okay, but not fine and tasty.What a blues blow! I want to cry in front of it. It was nice and classy, now it's bobobof. The team would be perfect to hold a bar with a good sound.
