I do like Waba Grill but I don't like this particular restaurant. They do need to improve their sanitation/cleaning/hygienes as well as their customer service. When I walked in, the person in charge of the front counter was cleaning and wiping the tables. The others in the kitchen saw me waiting to be served but nobody else came over to help me as they were busy too. I waitedpatiently for a couple of minutes and finally the cleaning gal came inside serve me. At this point, I told her to pleasesanitize or clean her hands first because I know she will be touching my food. She gave me a negative attitude and replied shewas using gloves. I told her it's still unsanitary because her gloves have be...

During my visit, I was concerned that the staff member handling my food hadn’t sanitized or washed her hands after cleaning. When I mentioned this, she dismissed my concern, saying she was wearing gloves. I explained that gloves can still carry contaminants like cleaning chemicals, and when she removed them by touching the outside, her hands were exposed as well. Her hygiene practices were unacceptable, especially after I politely asked her to clean her hands first. This issue goes beyond hygiene—it’s about basic respect for customers. I felt uncomfortable and chose to leave. Management and staff need to improve their hygiene standards, particularly given the ongoing pandemic. I’ve nev...
It was okay. I threw on the avocado from home and it made it better but the chicken portion was extremely skimpy, 75% was rice. There was no sauce on the chicken and rice, it was my first time here, and I suppose I don 't know how to order it? Yeahright, it 's a standard Yoshi 's, teriyaki, fast Asian place. I just don 't understand how this is $13. If you 're like me andcamping out of a hotel room, this is better than a can of beans and tuna packets. Just not much bang for your buck. Edit: Icontacted the WaBa customer service and they never replied, I decided to give this place another go anyways. The portion was waybetter, night, and day difference. I also realized that you need to put you...
Gross, figured I?d give it a shot due to everywhere else being super busy. Oh man, did i regret going to this place. The steak that should be soft and juicy was instead old, hard and crunchy, the chicken wasn?t good either same as the steak. Veggies where barley cooked almost raw and rice was waaaaaaaay overcooked and old. I would not recommend eating here, unless you have a death wish or an iron belly that can handle luke warm trash. I threw my food in the garbage. Reserva una mesa ahora
I contacted WaBa's customer service but didn’t get a response. Still, I decided to try the restaurant again, and the experience was a huge improvement—completely different from the first time! I also discovered you can customize your sauce, which was a pleasant surprise. They did forget the spicy carrot and jalapeño mix, but I understand mistakes happen. Overall, it’s a fast and healthy choice.
Possibly the best teriyaki place in LA. I admit that I haven?t been to all of them, but the teriyaki sauce here is spot on to Hawaiian style teriyaki. Sweet, savory, with ponzu style flavor. Only flavor missing was a hint of ginger. I ordered the Teri beef and chicken combo. Chicken was tender, beef was slightly overcooked but it still was tender. Service was friendly and order came out fast.
The Teriyaki chicken dish at Waba Grill was excellent. The vegetables were cooked to perfection, and the chicken was nicely breaded with wonderful flavor. However, the food could have been served a bit warmer, as the chicken had cooled down somewhat, despite us arriving an hour before closing time. Overall, the menu offers great options worth trying.
New to the area, was hunting for something delicious. Must say i wasn't disappointed. Its pretty good. I was skeptical at first because when i entered it was just empty with just 1 other lady waiting for her take away at the counter. Had the WaBa with Veggies Bowl. Its actually not bad, definitely go back for a meal/snack another time. Reserva una mesa ahora
