I really enjoyed visiting this restaurant; it's clean and well-maintained. We placed our orders and got our drinks, then settled in to wait for our food. Unfortunately, we waited for over 15 minutes. When I mentioned to Angie that my food was cold, she told me it had been sitting on the counter the whole time. She responded with an attitude, shrugging her shoulders and saying it was fine. When I inquired about the manager, she claimed there wasn't one available. After returning to my table, I noticed Angie and her colleagues whispering and laughing behind my back. This made my experience uncomfortable and rather unpleasant. I couldn't even enjoy my meal—I actually lost my appetite.
I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the food at this restaurant. I arrived around 9 PM, enticed by the fact that it was one of the few healthier options available at that time, providing an alternative to fast food. I ordered the rib plate, which I found to be excellent for the price of $10 or $11. The beef was lean and had a nice char on both sides, and there were plenty of generous pieces on the plate. It also came with a tangy kale salad that I really enjoyed. I will definitely be coming back!
The location was one of the nicest until the past couple of months. The new team in the morning will ignore you until you put money in tip cup .... What is so sad is, they want the tip before you place your order. Even when its only take out... theywill take your purchase payment and walk away.... start cleaning tables, or arranging items behind counter.... just make youwait longer for not tipping before the food is prepared. I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant due to an employee named Angie, who seemed quite unfriendly. I've been a regular customer here, but the new team unfortunately provided subpar service. Angie came across as immature and appeared to lack concern for her customers. Because of this incident, I didn't feel inclined to eat my food afterward.
I was very disappointed with my experience. I'm usually a fan of Waba and often visit a different location in Rancho, but I was nearby this one. Unfortunately, I got a bowl that was only half full, and the steak looked like it had been cooked hours earlier. It was just really disappointing. I won't be returning.
