I was surprised to find that any restaurants are still open 24 hours, but after a tough day, we decided to give one a try. This is our local Waffle House, which we had stopped visiting a few years back due to a string of disappointing experiences. However, we were pleasantly surprised tonight! It really turned our evening around. The food was fantastic, the service was cheerful, and the overall atmosphere was great.
I may be biased because one of my very dearest and closest friends works at this one. She's the cook on 3rd shift and food always comes out exactly how you like it or better! Regulars pull in and she's already getting their orders done. She makes you feel welcomed when you walk in and makes sure her grill and surroundings are always clean! I don't go to any other waffle house!
We were charged a $2.03 service fee in addition to a $2.03 to-go fee, on top of the food taxes! We simply walked in and placed our order, just like anyone dining in. When we got home, our order was incorrect. My toast was drenched in butter and slimy. The prices have become outrageous; our bill, including a $2.00 tip, came to $26.31. We probably won't be returning.
The staff are phenomenal and they always make me wanna leave a generous tip. The food is good and the price is decent. The waffles are phenomenal (which I'm assuming is why they're called waffle house). It's a cozy little diner space with a jukebox which is nice. Never knew Waffle House had chili. Now that I do, I will always get a bowl because it was good. You should try it! My server was very nice, spoke like a mouse and laughed at our silly jokes.
Stopped at a few, and this one was awesome the grits were not stiff as a board the bacon was just right
