The most unprofessional service I have ever experienced!!! Spoken to with contempt on arrival as we had arrived 4 minutes after our booking which was made a day before, then pointed to an area where we should sit at a specific table that had no...coasters for our drinks, no menu’s, napkins or cutlery for our food though each and every other table was set up correctly for customer arrival. Then when we had our drinks we had to take napkins from an empty table for the landlady/bar manager to have the audacity to question my partner for taking the napkins as if she was doing something wrong. today as a table of 9. we were warmly welcomed and shown on our table. large selection of food, impressed by the menu. I had the Brat-Rind- and Lamb-Dinner, was brilliant. I also had the sticky toffee pudding, that was devine! my. sister loved the garlic mushrooms for the starter, the brokkoli and stelton suppe was a hit to children's dishes came with a full ice, good worth. my only criticism was the size of the flatbreads for the money. would definitely recommend and will return soon. thanks for a nice first visit.
We went on Sunday afternoon to this cosy pub. We received friendly and attentive service from everyone who served us. We had the homemade leek and stilton pie and fish and chips. The food was amazing. We had a good bottle of Merlot red wine...too. We’ll definitely come back again and recommend you give it a try.
Excellent Sunday lunch everything was cooked to perfection especially the roast potatoes would definitely return. The staff were lovely and so funny especially the young lady who I think was front of house so bubbly and chatty an asset to the establishment! We did not...take the glasses haha! X

Visited yesterday, solo with the dog. We were made to feel so welcome. I had the steak and ale pie it was so tasty (made by the chef himself I was told with proper triple cooked chips (piping hot) and braised cabbage. Excellent meal. Will...definitely be visiting again soon.
Wow. The food was absolutely amazing, I ordered the roast vegetable lasagne and was the best I’ve ever had! Foods great. Staff are lovely and the location is beautiful Highly recommend this inn!

Nice food, friendly staff and good service. Room was a bit soulless but we were the only ones in there. Would return if out that way again. Dog friendly too

absolutely delish meal! the cakes are great! would definitely recommend. the staff was also beautiful, very friendly and warm!
