Waggon And Horses

We were seeing old friends for the first time since lockdown. We were greeted by a gentlemen with tattoos on his neck,, I assumed he was the manager. I mention that for purposes of identification only, more of which later, Our waitress, Caitlin was delightful,...bubbly and efficient. We ordered food, starters and main courses by and the starters arrived pretty quickly. The starters were beyond small, Two of us had chicken wings, and my partner had the Calamari. The price on the menu is The number of rings was Really? Insulting. At four o'clock I had to remind the aforementioned manager, after waiting for over minutes that we had not yet had our main courses. He is in the wrong job. He was surly, and short, though the food arrived shortly after. At best, it was average, and I ordered ribs which arrived in a rack with slop poured over them. Obviously no effort had been put into the presentation. The menu described that the meal came with coleslaw. A tiny leaf, with a teaspoon full is not a portion. The most disappointing aspect was that having to remind the manager, he reacted quickly, but unfortunately had not reminded the kitchen that the food heeded to be heated. Obviously I didn't pay for this, though our total bill was Value for money? you judge. We all live locally, and the Waggon is within short walking distance for us all. Every customer is an opportunity. Sadly this place fell well short.

Visited this pub for the first time last night and although things went well at first lovely outdoor fire table and nice starters we soon learnt that this pub was not as professional or pleasant as we had hoped. Upon entering the Waggon...and Horses, or even by driving past it, you will notice many bold signs outside, advertising their ‘all day every day student discount’ and Pizza Tuesdays’. This is also written on their website, on their menu, and we were even told about the pizza deal by our waitress when we were seated. However, this all turned out to be completely false advertising for the staff only to deny these deals that had been so clearly advertised. We were told that because of ‘Covid’ and the ‘Christmas season’ these offers were no longer on. Though, this is not specified anywhere alongside their advertisements- no small print, no Ts&Cs nothing. It seemed as though this end to the deals ended just as they decided in the moment even though being a week in to December you’d have thought this would have given them plenty of time to remove their advertising. Staff were not at all helpful with our understandable disappointment with the situation. Not only that, but the pizzas were not all that, so definitely not worth paying full price for! Overall very unimpressed with the service here. Will sadly not be returning.

We have been to all the pubs in Kingston and always come back here. By far the best service, prices and food. Happy hour from every day and a great selection of cocktails. We visited a lot when lockdown restrictions loosened in and...have visited again now in really impressed with the garden renovations and heaters make a big difference we had food and cocktails and it was a great night. Great service as always. We will be back and always choose the waggon if we can get a reservation!

Unfortunately, this pub is currently closed due to the situation, but hopefully it will open again soon. It offers a decent selection of beers normally from Youngs and Twickenham breweries, but also occasional guest ales and a good food menu. Their pizzas...are particularly good. They have two outside seating areas a small one overlooking the road, and a larger terrace area (with some sheltered booths at the rear.

Came to the waggon and horses for my mates stag do and I had the best time! I couldn’t compliment the staff more, was a busy Saturday night but the staff couldn’t be more attentive. Through the night I was served by Yolanda, Kanon, Vic,...Josh and Amanda. They were all amazing and made the night special would go again and plan to book my stag do there as well. Particularly our waitress Yolanda was great!
