Beautifully located hotel, right next to the forest and the rushing Ilse. Rooms: The rooms are quite small, especially the wardrobe, which is tiny with only 2 compartments. The bathroom has no storage space. Everything is out of date. Nearby activities: Very nice area to go hiking directly from the hotel. Just great. We also visited various beautiful cities. Wernigerode, Quedlinburg, Goslar, Braunlage with the Wurmberg and Bad Harzburg with a treetop path. Great Food drinks: The breakfast was sufficient, including two different types of scrambled eggs, one with ham. Noteworthy details: We were unlucky that the room cleaning was practically not carried out, except for trash being disposed of....

Wonderful location in the middle of nature. Very good starting point for numerous hikes. The small river “Ilse” at the hotel is a first little highlight when you arrive. You are greeted with the friendly sound of the many mini waterfalls and small rapids. There are sufficient parking spaces available. The rooms are simple and functionally equipped. They are clean and the bed was comfortable. The food was seasonal, good and varied and the service was attentive, friendly and fast. The breakfast was completely sufficient and delicious. Suitable for families, there is a children's room for little ones and there is also a play area in the restaurant.
From the beginning, mn was supplied with everything all around.The reception staff was very friendly and polite. The room was not huge, but completely sufficient for our overnight stay there. In case of queries, we were able to contact the local staff and were instructed to the restaurant in the hotel where you can eat until 21:00. There was pizza and curry with us, both very tasty. The fact that the hotel has come in the years would still be forgiven. But really annoying is the fact that neither swimming pool nor sauna were usable!! For reasons of efficiency, you can see a curtain in the hotel. Although this was sold both on the website and in the booking confirmation as included in the price. Sorry, this is very unfair to the paying guest! 90,00€ per night for the DZ are also not a bargain price.
