Three of us (ladies) went for dinner. Service is extremely slow and poor. Waited 20 minutes for one beer, one glass of wine, and one glass of water...The place was practically empty. The food is far too expensive for the quality. They serve those horrible prefab frozen fries. Gravey is tasteless and served in a plastic shot glass. Two of us had the perch. Hardly any breading and not seasoned at all, very tasteless. One of us ordered chicken fingers....frozen prefab....yuk One ordered coconut cream pie....worst pie ever. All meringue a couple of microscopic pieces of coconut and no coconut cream. Even if they cut their prices in half they would still be far to expensive for the quality. I don...
We were here for lunch while on vacation and arrived at about 11:45 a.m There was only one server looking after the place and there were approximately 6 people in the restaurant. She came over right away and asked if we wanted a beverage, dropped off menus and told us of any specials. Within minutes she took our order and by this time, the place was filling up for lunch. She was EXTREMELY organized and never let anyone wait. My partner had asked for a piece of bread with her dish which the server promptly brought us in spite of the number of tables she was serving. I had the mussels which were delicious and plentiful for the price. My partner had clam chowder which was delicious too.
My wife and I visited for lunch yesterday. I ordered the clam chowder with cole slaw and my wife a burger. The burger was just okay but the chowder was not properly warmed to the point that some of the potato pieces in it were cold. It was also very plain, and I've had better out of a can. The waitress had it warmed up while I ate the very small amount of cole slaw that was served. Overall we weren't impressed and although the location is good, the food could be improved for the price charged. There are better options in the area.
I have lived in Port Colborne for 40 years and have always loved their food. The food is homemade, hot, and delicious! The service is ALWAYS so quick, friendly, and efficient. The Peppas family are always there and put their heart and soul into their restaurant. The portions are a good size, and always hot and delicious! I recommend the turkey dinner, liver, fish and chips, and chicken dinner, but I have had almost everything on the menu over the years, and have never been disappointed.
Our group of seven was waited on by Linda and received our meal very quickly. The lamb, fish n chips, spaghetti and children's chicken were enjoyed. We all had a desert- cheesecake, coconut cream pie, rice pudding and children's ice cream. The food was delicious. Walters has a wonderful location by the canal. If you want the best view of the canal, I recommend reservations.
Excellent meal, waitress n location....we live in Niagara Falls n drive here for Perch, would have stayed for dessert but I made it at home! We had a little problem with part of our baked potato but just a small portion was hard, they wer more than accommodating when we mentioned it n offered some dessert but we wer good!
