The rolling mill is new in the Schwetzinger Bermuda triangle and is located at the place of the former “Café Journal”, whose owner had previously thrown the towel. According to information in the menu and in the press, the “Walzwerk” is the realization of a new gastro concept, allegedly an earlier dream of Marcus Walz from Hockenheim, who is more known as designers of wild looking custom bikes (but with international reputation and customers such as B. The Rollwerk Café in Schwetzingen is located in the city centre directly at the Schlossplatz with access to the tram and near the railway station. It is comfortable by train and then about 500 meters walk. I had dinner with colleagues in December. Outside there were some tables and chairs covered with parasols. But since it was too cold, we decided to eat something inside. One comes first through a brown wooden door into a small front area, which in turn is bounded with a brown wooden door. Great setting across road from Schwetzingen Palace, with cobbled outside dining.On our visit to this Cafe it was very quiet with only 6 guest tables in use & yet it was over quarter of an hour to be given menus.Staff reasonably friendly, however not a smile to be seen during our visit.We ordered beer, coffee & nachos.Beer was as expected in Germany, great, coffee was very weak a not very nice. Nachos was disappointing, bland with not much thought out into its preparation.Friends live locally & surprised at our experience as normally good service & food.
The rolling mill in Schwetzingen is located near the Schwetzinger Schloss. The new car park also offers parking nearby. There is the possibility to sit outside in good weather or just inside. The decoration in the rolling mill is something unusual, but we liked it very well. There are skateboards and mountain bikes or motorcycles. Anyone interested in Super, for others it is also worth a visit! The food is super tasty and the service is very friendly. We'll eat there!

This is THE place to chill with the bikers .. super bikes of various brands can be seen parked right in front of the restaurant while sipping your favourite wine and/or beer from the extensive menu. Strategically located at the T-junction of the local landmark, castle, a good place to people watch.
Walzwerk is located across from our Beautiful Schwetzingen Castle and has great Burgers. They are a little expensive, wedges are great, beer is good, employees friendly and Walzwerk has an American Diner design. Try it if you happen to be visiting Schwetzingen.
Stopped here due to the casual feel and look of the place, wasn't disappointed even with the assembling crowd. Our service was reasonably fast and the food was good (and filling). Would recommend for casual dinning and local atmosphere.
We visted this restaurant for our breakfast and we were really suprised by the quantity of food we got for two menues and 20€. Very nice place with a nice view.

We experienced it well and badly. It seems to be day-dependent. During my last visit 14 days ago, the Hamburger was awarded for lunch.
