Waterfront Southgate

The last two times we have been quite disappointed with the food. There may be a new chef? It is more quantity over quality now it seems. We both had the grilled barramundi. It seemed steamed rather than grilled as it was very wet and sloppy. Hardly any flavour but at least it wasn't fishy. The vegetables were not very nice and my wife did not eat the fish or the veggies and sent it back. For me it was OK but not something I would have again. The chicken I had several weeks earlier was at best OK too but it was enormous and nothing special. The food at Waterfront was delicious, and waiters very friendly and attentive Unfortunately there was a loud table of people right next to us who ruined the atmosphere a fair bit. They were very rude. Not much can be done about people like that though unfortunately, but experience would have definitely been better without them there

Thank you team, what a memorable night out. We started alfresco and moved to the bar to soak up more of the vibe and fantastic service. Perfect food, professional, friendly service and finished off with a port. We will return on our next visit to marvellous Melbourne

Date night started off with a badly placed table, was offered a new table but dodged water drops with heavy rain! Great delicious food, waiter service and ambience made up for the beginning glitches! Will be back Reserva una mesa ahora

Our night at the Waterfront was magical good service great food warmth and ambience. Our waiter was great a breath of fresh air to be able to order with the waiter and not an APP. Magical night

The food was delicious! The Barramundi skin was not a crispy as we like it but it still tasted quite good. The staff were fantastic and very attentive. Thank you
