Waterside Inn - Reserva de mesa

For Christmas 2022, unbeknown to each other, my wife and I bought each other the same present vouchers for an overnight stay at The Waterside Inn and Le Menu Exceptionnel. It’s such a special place and we both love it here. We booked our first visit during the summer last year and have just enjoyed our next visit. Both visits, it must be said, were amazing, as always, and the complimentary room upgrade was a lovely surprise. The staff are attentive but not intrusive and the food as you would expect is sublime. We especially enjoyed the duck consommé under a puff pastry crust (my wife had hers without the foie gras). The only observation I would make is if you buy a voucher for a gift ensure...

Stayed and dined for my Wife's 75th. We were last there for her 70th. They say it's not possible to improve on perfection but the staff at the Waterfront has achieved this. The attention to detail is what sets them apart. All of the staff were genuinely happy and nothing was too much trouble for them. The attention during Dinner was superb and Molly was a breath of fresh air. Needless to say that the food was exceptional, we had the Taster Menu and it would be difficult to pick a favorite dish as they were all sublime, I think the Scallop just edged it. It's not cheap but it's well worth the expense and I think that we'll return for my 75th in a few years.

Delighted to join friends for lunch at the Waterside we were not disappointed by the ambience, the staff and the beautifully located table. It’s an elegant restaurant with superb staff and of course it comes at a price- £250 per person for three courses. Other than a very ordinary crab starter (no taste and a unexciting presentation) the main course and dessert was beautifully presented and tasty but with a bottle of wine and three glasses of wine the £1350 bill for four was a little less digestible. We have warm memories of the Waterside, but this time we thought the overall experience was less memorable.

Another visit, our last time was in June this year. Again we stayed over. It is very much a restaurant, with rooms, not a hotel. Friendly greeting on arrival, car parked, room was ready. Friends were also staying so we had a pre-dinner drink in the very small bar/lounge area, next to reception The meal an exceptional, food was for us, everything we expected, presented well, full of flavour. An extensive wine list, from which we chose some fine wines. The evening was made all the better from the excellent service we received from both Naomi and Marco. Having read a few reviews here, I was worried that Waterside Inn had passed its hey day and that it would not be worth the extravagant cost. I need not have worried! Everything was exceptional- from being greeted to when we pulled up, our room was ready 45mins early, the room itself was large and comfortable. And then the restaurant and the food! It was phenomenal. We took the recommendations of our server for the signature dish of lobster. There is a reason it’s been on the menu since the 80s. Then the need and the soufflé. It was all wonderful. We are already talking about when we return.

Had a free Sunday and fancied a good lunch. So called up on the off chance they would have a table for one at any point during the day. And to my luck and surprise within minutes they offered a time and I got on my way. As every other time being here it’s such a wonderful place to eat, even as a solo diner on this occasion. Again as always staff, without fault outstanding and the food well, not one bad thing to say! ALWAYS WORTH THE !!

Admittedly I love The Waterside Inn, and it is one of my favourites… we took my Mum and Sister for their first visit and , as usual, it was perfect, both in terms of the restaurant and overnight accommodation. Beautiful food, excellent service in fabulous surroundings.

We were lucky enough to be given a gift voucher so cost wasn’t an issue for us. Dinner with an overnight stay is expensive but it’s a huge treat and so worth it, if you realise that this is not something you would do every... Reserva una mesa ahora

Had lunch here today for an early 50th Birthday gift and I can only describe The Waterside Inn, the food, the service, the staff, the setting with one word…MAGNIFIQUE

As usual, Alain and his team serve the most wonderful meal with first class service. Stayed overnight with family in the beautiful riverside rooms.
