Waterstones - Reserva de mesa

I have been to this café many times in the past, but today was a different experience. My friend and I were immediately reprimanded for bringing drinks from another establishment. After apologizing and finishing our drinks, we asked the server if there was a bin, to which she replied "no" even though there was one right behind her. When we returned after disposing of our trash, we were scolded for sitting without ordering food, being told that the café is not a library. We had only been seated for about 10 seconds and were just looking at the menu. None of the other customers were treated this way by the middle-aged blonde waitress, and we can't help but feel that this behavior was racially...

Upstairs in the Waterstones at top end of Sutton high street is this lovely cafe. Have been hear a few times and the staff are consistently pleasant, helpful, efficient and polite. Has the normal range of teas and coffees with the addition of a good range of lose leaf teas such as Early Grey and Green. Forget your tea bags, this is quality stuff at everyday prices. The place can be quite busy because it’s popular, and if you want food rather than pleasant drinks and snacks, there are other choices. Personally I think the green tea is to die for, and topped with gluten free biscuits and fair prices, that’s suffice for me!

The atmosphere at this restaurant is much better than other coffee shops. I don't understand why people are complaining about being told they need to make a purchase in order to use tables. After all, the restaurant needs to make a profit. My son can spend hours in any bookshop, so having a cafe attached is great so I don't get bored.

This is a lovely relaxing place to have a break upstairs in the bookshop away from the bustle of Sutton high street. The cafe is light and airy, the tables are well spaced out, the atmosphere friendly, the staff efficient and the coffee just fine. What’s not to like? Reserva una mesa ahora

I go into this store at least once a month to look at the books etc and our grandson loves the children's section. The staff are helpful but it was sad to see that local authors can no longer get them to take books directly you have to go through a middleman now.

I've used Waterstones for years and it's always been friendly, helpful and good snacks. Went today and new serving staff. Burnt teacakes and even wanted to charge extra for another pat of butter. Won't be back, as other outlets now better in town

First floor of the shop has a café away from the high street bustle and the chaos of some of the other offerings. Bright, cheerful and decent products, I will take this over the other chain coffee shops any time

This cafe is a delightful place to visit. It has a very calming atmosphere. The employees are wonderful. There is a new manager who has been working there for some time and she is doing an excellent job. Reserva una mesa ahora

Great range of coffee drinks and treats at very reasonable prices served by lovely staff who care about what they do and go beyond, the lead lady even went down stairs to process my loyalty card for me.

Enjoyed this bookstore and the cafe had delightful Christmas seasonal options! I got the Black Forest hot chocolate and it was so delicious! Will be returning for more.
