Having worked in the fast-service industry myself, I really can't comprehend what takes so long. Even when I was the only customer there, they still managed to take at least 20 minutes to prepare my bagel. Today, I ordered a smoked turkey and avocado, and they got it wrong not once, not twice, but four times! The first two times, they forgot the avocado and veggies. The third time was missing veggies again, and finally, after another 20-minute wait, they served it somewhat correctly. I visited this place for the first time today, excited to try their bagels. The selection was limited as they had already sold out of a few flavors, but the quality of the bagel I tried was excellent. However, I gave a low rating because I felt that the price was not justified for the product I received in my experience. I ordered a second bagel with cream cheese and garlic, but unfortunately, the cream cheese was overly salty, which negatively affected my experience with that bagel. Additionally, for a place that serves food primarily meant to be eaten by hand, I noticed there were no hand sanitizers or any kind of dispensers at the front. We tried Wayne's Bagels when they were sold at Sunterra market a few years ago. This time we went to the source. The bagel baker was super impressive! It was quite the show! Then it went downhill. The service was beyond slow. Breakfast sandwiches were bad and 2x the price of Tim's or McD's . The bagels were burned, the filling non existent and flavourless. Felt very bad for the others waiting behind us. We did take away a dozen and they were yummy, thank goodness!
The bagels here are delicious and absolutely true to the Montreal style! A word of caution: the jalapeño cream cheese is extremely spicy—it's not something I could handle, but it would definitely appeal to spice lovers. However, the service needs improvement, as it is painfully slow and the staff seems to lack proper training. That said, I have returned a few times!
I love her eating! it's the best. but waiting too long is not so great for me. and highly recommended to make sure that the cream cheese is on camp instead of waiting for 15 minutes, only for the production of fresh cinnamon and brown sugar cream cheese. but I will still come back anyway.
