This wine restaurant is located some 3 km from the Trier City Center, in the town district called Olewig. In this village there are still some wine producers. The restaurant is run by a family (Oberbilig? . It is a very nice family restaurant which open the evenings (at least Friday and Saturday evenings . All the wines come from the estate. They have some very nice Mosel Riesling wines (which in my opinion are almost as good as the best Alsace Rieslings wines , and also couple of types of red wines produced locally. Each time we noticed the famous grilled steak from the House passing hundred...

Despite being busy, he was happy to talk us through the wines and give us insight into how it's made, and even changed some of the wines to accommodate our taste. We then got a couple of extra wines by the glass. We'd have tried one of their flammkuchen , however, we were unable to get the waiters attention as he was tending to...

It was our first time on the Mosel so we wanted to experience a real Winebar. Fantastic service, food and of course Wine. Just outside of the city Trier so great to be outside the city. We will definately be back as their are many more wines to try! Keep up the good work. Robert C from Vancouver, Canada.
