Very well kept small hotel and excellent restaurant. Hotel is located within walking distance of all shops, public transport etc. Free parking in front of the hotel! The reception for the hotel is at the bar of the restaurant which is very welcoming and convenient. Rooms are functional and clean, free internet available. The hotel is in typical style with lots of wood and decorations inside, the restaurant is cozy and welcoming and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The Weinklause is a family friendly, family owned and run business that is a great place to stay and eat while in Oberstdorf. Family Nobis has run Weinklause for over 50 years and is dedicated to offering a comfortable and relaxing to it's customers many of whom come on an annual basis. It is located just minutes from the downtown shopping streets and boasts nice views of the fields and mountains from most all rooms. We enjoyed our meal here last night. The food was delicious, the drinks cold and the price was right! We were surprised at the number on our cheque at the end of the night - lower than we would have thought. Still, a good meal for a good price and enjoyable atmosphere and view. Had the tortellini, my husband had a cheese noodle dish, others had lamb and a white asparagus special. Strawberries are in season so we had the feature desserts - yum, yum, yum! Servers were a little here and there but when we asked for something it always came right away.

This is a great place to stay and eat. We had a very nice room in the new building and booked half board. Dinner was great: each evening we had a four-course meal and could choose from three different main dishes. Meal size was perfect: not too much and not too little. In addition, you could choose having dinner in the 'old' restaurant, the terrace or the winter garden (including TV to watch the WC football). I would definitely recommend other to go there. We had a table for 6people and one toddler, the table was set all ready for the child with seat and toys/books and kids cutlery. We were greeted real nice and the service was just great, being really patient and helpful. Lovely atmosphere inside the restaurant and the garden looked nice too! Food was tasty and affordable :) Nothing to complain! We probably will be back for the Schweinshaxe!

The place is very nice to sit, nice Deko, a bit out of the main drag so not too overcrowded, and a nice outside sitting area. The food was very good, with lots of vegetarian options.
