the weing “Zum Powderer” stands on the inside of the burgtor. we were looking for such a rustic traditional hoist to get familiar with the Franconian cuisine and the local wine. ambience cleanliness the interieur corresponds to what one imagines among a weinbar. many dark wood, stable tables and chairs as well as wooden benches on the walls. tonkrüge auf regalen, alte fotos an der wanden und ein fluofen in der mitte, to have warm in winter. everything somewhat yellowed and dusty, but somehow spontaneously sympathetic. in front of the house there are some tables on the outskirts where you can enjoy beautiful weather and see passing tourist. cleanliness was good. We ate dinner here each of the two nights we stayed in Rothenburg. We enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service so much the first night we decided to return again. The food is delicious with generous portions and reasonable prices. The service is very friendly and relaxed and the team there do a great job of looking after the patrons. The meals and drinks were served in good time and we really had the impression that nothing was a problem. A wonderful place to enjoy great food, good Bavarian beer and the company of your friends and family.
we ate hear with a group of 12 bikers , bit of a squeeze to get in but once they had rearranged the tables for us (we did have a booking ) everything was ok . the 2 women serving were great , they new exactly how to deal with 12 bikers , and were good fun . the food was very good , not an extensive menu but that better as what they do they do very well . at a good price.
the gas house looks very rustic and cozy, the service was also friendly, but the food left to wish.Allgäuer käsespätzle who swung in the frame and a salatsoße tasted suspiciously after instantpülverchen.I believe in this restaurant you should at least not eat a cheese kitten with salat and just go there to drink locally because the flaire is very nice. We enjoyed great, traditional German Rathskeller fare in this cozy setting. The meals were freshly prepared, hearty and delicious. The setting is warm, and fun - including carved chairs depicting the town fathers. The pork was mouthwatering and the spätzle the best we have had yet. Great dinner and a great value!
the restaurant attracts with beautiful, rustic ambiente. the service was friendly and it was served quite quickly. the food was beautifully dressed and the steak was very tender. the prices are also reasonable. I would visit the restaurant again as well as order the court again.
