This place is an institution. It has that warm friendly welcome of a typical German beer house/eatery. I arrived early for dinner which was just as well as all the tables had reserved signs on them. I ordered the roast pork and dumplings which arrived...at my table one minute after ordering them. Pork was lovely, a bit fatty in places, dumplings were good, nice sauce, sadly the cabbage salad wasn’t anything special. Good friendly service. Beware you can’t use a credit card in Germany unless you make a minimum spend.
Our last dinner during our week trip to Europe. We visited Oberammergau, Vienna, Sorrento and Rome and dined at many different restaurants. Most of them were overpriced and very touristy. This place was very different and we truly enjoyed the local food with authentic...German small town atmosphere. There were some interactions with other diners, also enjoyed petting a very cute dog. Highly recommend this place.
A solid Bavarian experience with really taste-intensive food, very nice operation. We had Sk. Martin's duck. Red herb and the baked apple were simply perfect, the dumplings were juicy and the beer-bright and the winter marshes-was tasted cold and delicious!
Worth a visit to this authentic German pub. Great beer, great food, fun atmosphere and good prices compared to fancy and expensive Munich. Lots of choices. Have a weiss beer.
