This is the second time they have ruined fish and chips for me. Both occasions I order large cod large haddock and chips, some how they manage to make the batter too thick and over cook the fish. This results in dry tastless fish and thick crispy batter. At £9.50 for the fish it's disgraceful. Only go here if you just want chips and gravy or sauce, but if like me you preferr fish and not nuggets or pendragon burger , then avoid. Instead pay £12 and go to firehouse and have fish cooked perfectly it may be smaller but you get the same amount of mouthfuls as pendra just overcook it until its dry and stuck to the batter and tastless. Or make a trip up to somerton or martock. Oh and I haven't men...
My partner stopped off one his way home to pick us up dinner something nice an easy. He placed his order and ordered mine but ask for my battered sausage to be kept separate due to my fish allergy long story short when we got home we found that my dinner had been wrapped together with 2 fish cakes meaning I couldn’t eat any of my dinner because of the fish cakes and it’s was getting to late to come back down and it had put me off. my partner loved his dinner though.
Fish had very hard batter. Not crisp and crunchy but hard and difficult to eat. Chips a mixture of soggy and dry sharp shards. price was over £9 for a medium sized piece of fish including a 10 pence charge for a plastic carrier bag (it’s claimed the money goes to charity but there is no mention of which charity nor documentation on display confirming the money is actually given to charity). Won’t be back.
Avoid. Chips were stone cold and the cod was awful and grey and half the size it should be. It was long and very thin like it had been cut in half prior to preparing. Absolutely inedible and very overpriced even if it was edible. Had instant noodles instead and the takeaway went in the bin. Reserva una mesa ahora
Even though we phoned our order through over an hour before collection we still had to wait outside. Got 2 large cod and chips at a cost of £27.00. Was massive. Had half and the other half the day after lol. Wouldn't spend that much again but apart from the wait we really enjoyed.
