Arrived 7.30pm, host from Netherlands greeted us spoke perfect English and took our drinks order. It arrived promptly followed by our starter Calimari with aoileli, amazing. As I'm diabetic a lot of the menu was off limits with BBQ or sweet sticky sauce. I asked could I have my wings and ribs dry? To which our host explained no problem, he went through rest of order checking all details. We were impressed by how busy the place was our host never failed to check all wad ok. Mains arrived I had wings and ribs plain with baked potato, I took pics it was so good. 17.50! Amazing value think I'm still being rolled home! Husband filled steak and rack ribs combo with potato. Thus meal was faultless...
Sadly, there is nothing positive about our visit to this restaurant. I can cut the staff some slack as it’s the end of the season, however not one smile during my the service matched the food that was served. The grilled chicken breast, definitely boiled. Maybe thrown on to a high heat grill for a minute to finish but cooked by boiling. The kids pizza. Frozen pizza. The fish. Frozen fish. The burger with grilled bacon and fried egg. The bun must be weeks old. The fried egg had no yolk. The bacon had been ‘cooked’ under a lamp. One bite was taken and left in full. Not that the waiting staff ever asked how our meal was. The service from Kevin was amazing! Super friendly from start to finish and memorable service worth tipping. The food wasn’t amazing but decent enough I’m quite fussy! I had a steak which was cooked correctly and tasty I just didn’t like the peppercorn sauce or garlic butter that accompanied it. The pepper sauce was more like peppery mayo not the right consistency nor tasty. Onion rings were like frozen battered ones which were also disappointing : My partner had the prawn pasta which again was okay but not as much sauce as he hoped for. More like pasta with toppings mixed in but still tasty enough. Would return for the service, maybe drinks or coffee but not massively keen on the food, howe...
Serving ladies were lovely, pity about the rest. Starters arrived promptly…then it took an hour half to get our mains. Steak not cooked as I asked, two small tortillas for a whole skillet of meat veg (chicken fajitas)…they took €2 off the bill. Also, ants crawling all over us as we ate…just our experience though. Hope others have better
