We are from Joplin, MO, and came to visit family and take time off for my wife's birthday. The family had to work but recommended Whistle Stop. We drove over for breakfast and are so glad we did. One of their customer's was on his way out I asked how he liked the Café. He said he was 90 years old and came here every morning. He had many good things to say about the restaurant food, service, and cleanliness. His recommendation was right on target. The restaurant was super clean from front to back. The waitress was so kind and attentive to our needs. She brought the pancakes out on a special plate for my wife's birthday and even sang to her. I am not sure how we even ended up here, it's a little off the beaten path but I am glad we did. I love to eat at locally owned places, and this is why. We showed up about 10 minutes before they were to close, and were the only customers. They greeted us cheerfully, not disappointed that we were causing them to stay late. They have homemade lunch specials and desserts as well as grill food.. the restaurant was clean and bright.. We had a pleasant conversation with the owner/cook . The whole experience was enjoyable and not overpriced. When I go through Jonesboro again, I plan to stop there. I'll be earlier next time.
Love love love this place. The food is excellent. Different lunch specials each day. Breakfast is great my friend orders extra porkchops on his breakfast porkchop plate.and he is a very picky eater. Everybody is friendly. And Ms Lisa the owner will even stop and visit with you
This is THE BEST FOOD I have tasted. We had breakfast the first time and it was perfect. Today i had grilled catfish with potato salad, baked beans and hush puppies. Everything was great and we highly recommend it.

Very tasty. The daily blue plate type special is a good value entrée, two sides, and cornbread or Texas toast for under 10 bucks. Staff is super friendly and the location is homey and very clean.
Lisa was amazing to work with. Her team truly impressed the Northeast Arkansas Board of Realtors. The chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, and rolls were all spot on!
Best breakfast in town by a long shot. The breakfast pork chops and the biscuits n gravy are the bomb. Nothing that you order here for breakfast or lunch will disappoint you.
The grilled cheese sandwich was even better than my mom's! The food here brings a smile to your face with every bite.

They always treat you wonderfully here. The coffee is really good, and my friend loves the breakfast!
The food is great, prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly. I will definitely go back.
