I recently moved to Pimpama and visited the Whistle Stop twice in as many weeks. We noted the negative reviews however thought we would give it a go regardless as my partner grew up in the area & assured our group it was great - and I am glad we did! We arrived unannounced with 4 children and 4 adults & were greeted promptly, chairs and tables rearranged without hesitation, and our drink orders taken a reasonable time later. I have been to this cafe many times in the past and never had cause to complain but my recent experience was very very disappointing. The food was terrible. I had fritters which were refried and overcooked as was the bacon. It appeared to be refried left overs.The service was OK but they only provided uncooled tap water but when I asked they did provide ice. As the temperatures have been extremely hot recently, cool drinking water would have been appreciated. Based on my recent experience I could not recommend eating a meal here. Arrived at 1.35pm Sunday to be told Kitchen is closing at 2 but you can order. Gee thanks. Lovely waitresses, we ordered a seafood 'marinara' pizza and garden salad. The minute it hit the table the flies swarmed. We spent the whole time waving them away. The pizza was burnt black on the bottom. Inedible. Prawns overcooked. Who puts seafood extender on a $24 small sized pizza??? Now for the salad. Guessing they ran out of lettuce as the salad was mostly green and red capsicum, onion and tomato, hardly any lettuce to be found. Our plates piled with burnt pizza and not a question from staff to even ask how it was. Guess they could smell it was burnt when they served it. Not worth the drive.
Cruised the back road to give Father's precious car a run and decided to pop into the Whistle Stop. Coffees were fantastic and barista should be praised best I've had in a while on the coast. Shredded pork burgers and chips, nachos and Summer Chicken salad ten out of ten and the 3 of us left the cafe feeling satisfied and praised the girls who were behind the counter. It's a hidden gem and it's our 2nd visit but will certainly return...

Have lived in this area for nearly 3 years and didn't know this place existed. Popped in this afternoon for a fabulous Coffee and a delicious piece of coconut berry slice. Looking forward to going back for Pizza and Wine one night soon and my husband is excited about trying the Burgers. Just off the highway, away from the hustle and bustle. A relaxed oasis in the midst of suberbia.
It took over 1 hour to get a very basic meal out to my family & with 2 toddlers a bowl of chips is not that hard!!Nachos was way overcooked(charcoal edges)A Ceaser salad was the last meal brought out (salad!!!!)Complained & was told somebody would come to talk to us ...nope that didn't happen.We are locals & won't be back
Group of us went there for our Xmas get together lunch. Apparently last day before they shut for Xmas. Offered us Luke warm water to drink. Had to go next door and buy drinks. Only could order Pizza which was ordinary. Service was disappointing and don't be open if you can't provide a proper lunch like a cafe should.
Quaint little bar on the side of the road in Pimpama. Worthy to stop and refresh. Friendly locals and food is good. Going to try for Sunday brunch, as it's away from the crowds

Loved this restaurant and loved the food. The pizzas were fantastic. Customer service very good. We will certainly be back.
Love this cute little Cafe hidden away in Pimpama. So peaceful to be at. Owners are very hospitable. My favorite Cafe ❤
