Since I hadn’t received an answer from the hostess, I asked our waitress instead. She told me that it should be fine to bring the cake in, without mentioning any fees. I’ve dined at various upscale restaurants before, and some do charge a cake-cutting fee, typically between $5 and $10. So, after dinner, I went to my car to retrieve the cake. When the waitress returned, I asked her for plates and forks.
Then came the bill. To my shock, we were charged a $25 fee just for bringing us plates and forks for seven people’s cake! Meanwhile, she had forgotten to bring the kids their ice cream that was included in their meals. I told the waitress that she should have informed us about this outrageous...
We made the trek west to try White Birch, the place seemed fairly empty for a Friday night. We had a nice corner booth table, service was good but only two waitresses manned the restaurant and bar as a whole and seemed a little overwhelmed. Food was Delicious, beautifully plated and very tasty! We opted for a very nice cocktail and wine flight which was perfect. The only downside is the lighting. The place has a million top hat with the whitest light, even dimmed, that made the place look so cold and soul-less. A change to some warmer lights or Edison bulbs would transform this place and make it so much more enjoyable.
One of my favorite restaurants in North Jersey. The building has the ambiance of a doctor's office, but the space itself is quite nice. The food is among the best I've had in the state recently—featuring excellent ingredients and clean flavors. They also have a great selection of drinks and wines. I highly recommend this place.
Was here for brunch food was excellent but the service was terrible. Had to ask for everything. Wait staff is very inexperienced for a restaurant of this caliber. The food/drinks are pricey they charged us $10 for a small basket of muffins. It's too bad as this place was 5 stars a few years ago. Not returning.

What a hidden treasure in Flanders! We visited for an early dinner on a Saturday night, and our waitress was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Every dish we had was absolutely delicious. It's clear that the chefs here are truly talented. We will definitely return!
Highly recommended. Excellent upscale dining with locally sourced ingredients which supports the local farms and businesses in the area (e.g., a local creamery. This is a nice special occasion place to come for dinner.
White Birch has remedied the situation, far exceeding our expectations. Food, service and atmosphere were amazing and we are once again thrilled with the place. Chef Sam has an amazing restaurant.
I was looking forward to visiting this restaurant, but unfortunately, it has closed down for good. It seemed like it would have been a fantastic place!
