This pub is in desperate need of attention, as it is unkempt and dirty with cobwebs on the window sills. When we were seated in the dining room, no one came to take our drink order or offer any service. I had to find someone myself in order to receive any attention. We ordered our food, and because it was Sunday, I chose the roast beef. Unfortunately, it was not enjoyable at all. The beef slices were tough and had a lot of gristle along the edges. Even the vegetables were difficult to eat, and the cauliflower cheese was served cold. We requested for the dish to be taken off the bill, which they complied with. We decided to skip dessert altogether. To top it all off, all the toilets were out...
I had a fantastic dining experience at The White Hart. We had originally planned to only go for drinks last night, but decided to try the food as well. The Cumberland sausage swirl was absolutely delicious. My friend ordered a rare sirloin steak and it was one of the best, perfectly cooked sirloins I have ever had in town. The drink specials were too good to pass up and the service was quick and incredibly friendly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. They offer a variety of dishes and their staff goes above and beyond to make your visit enjoyable. Thank you, White Hart!
This is the second time eating at the White Hart and we really enjoyed it. For the afternoon snack we order the Salami , rocket and basil pesto on focaccia bread which was really nice! Although it would of been even nicer with some cherry tomatoes and balsamic glaze to compliment the rocket. Other than that it was nice. We then returned later in the evening for 2 roasts, which was really nice. The service was fast and the food came out nice and hot. Then headed to the beer garden for a few afternoon drinks in the sun. This is a nice spot for Sunday lunch and drink.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The building has a lovely old style and must be several hundred years old. The room I stayed in had a double bed that was very comfy and Air-conditioning that was needed the day I was there. The shower water was too hot to shower in as I could not get the cold water on. Their breakfast was massive and very tasty compared to others at your big hotel chains.

Today I’ve witnessed the most beautiful interaction between an employee and a circle of people with obvious additional needs. Not only were they treated with respect but they had the time to decide and communicate, the surrounding customers were luckily patient and didn’t complain. Skye deserves a mention. She’s fabulous.
Me and my friends came out looking for a good night out and noticed this place was doing live music. So we came in and it was just an amazing atmosphere. The staff were great and lively and recommended us some great drinks. Everything about this place is definitely worth a visit!
The staff was incredibly friendly, and the hotel is excellent value for money. They efficiently resolved a problem with our booking agent by arranging a temporary room for the first night and seamlessly transitioning us to the room class we had initially booked.
Thank you to the staff at the White Hart for helping me with a car parking situation. They were extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgable; and calmly and quickly resolved my situation. Thank you so much.
