White Hart - Reserva de mesa

Just happened across this place while driving through and having a quick walk around the village and was surprised to see vegan options on the menu. Walked in and were greeted by happy and immediately helpful staff who told us where to park and double checked vegan availability with the chef. Service was amazing throughout, food was very nice (including perfect onion rings and tasty apple and celeriac soup), and we even had 3 yummy desert choices that made it difficult to decide (an unusual and delightful experience to have). Staff were flexible and even offered to make one-off vegan items from available ingredients. All in all, a wonderful surprise so are now planning to come back someday.

This friendly 3* hotel is located in the centre of Moretonhampstead which is sometimes known as the 'gateway to Dartmoor '... Moretonhampstead is an unremarkable small town that goes about its own business having an ATM, Co-op shop and chemist. The White Hart Hotel is notable as being a good place to stop and spend the night before a twenty minute drive onto Dartmoor. It is three star at most but none the less has pretty much all you 'd want for a pleasant night 's stay. I had a very pleasant cream tea in a large lounge with comfortable sofas and chairs. The staff were kind and I noticed the hotel is dog-friendly which is a bonus too.

Popped in for lunch , smoked fish cake was coke in the centre , had eaten most of it so didn’t send back but told staff when she collected plate, to make chef aware for further orders . Cream tea desert , used to love the cream teas here but so disappointing , it was doughy in the middle , wasn’t asked if scone was ok after a cold fish cake and hadn’t eaten it all . Partner had pate which was nice but his scone was also doughy in the middle , tasted uncooked . Salad with the fish cake was nice though .

Very pretty aesthetics, just what you would expect from this old posting inn in the countryside. Staff really friendly and helpful, the room was really satisfactory for the price, and the warm breakfast included in the price tasty.(vegan/vegetarian option on the menu). The restaurant and pub are also very nice. We would definitely book again! The location just in the centre of Mortonhampstead is ideal for planning hikes or bicycle tours Reserva una mesa ahora

Great location to explore Dartmoor, the room although a little tired and dated was warm and comfortable, the restaurant when we stayed was very quiet and lacking in atmosphere, the food was okay, good portions but a little bland, however breakfast was magnificent, the breakfast team were excellent and the full English was a triumph! All in all we enjoyed our stay and would return!

Lovely place for a bed and breakfast. Room was clean and well furnished. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was also great, with a good selection of hot food available.

Book your Sunday lunch at the White Hart and take a relaxing scenic drive. Wonderful staff, superb service and a mouth-watering choice of food. I really rate this establishment.

Lovely weekend at the White Hart with family. Comfortable and friendly. On the main road so some early traffic noise but happily go again

Just went in for a drink, lovely hotel, friendly staff, nice bar area, good drop of ale.
