We booked for 1 night bed and breakfast and had an evening meal at the White Hart also....NO COMPLAINTS !!!!!!......room we stayed in was large, lovely with everything one could want, it's a big place which is very dog friendly, has a lot of character throughout, downstairs was a great to drink, eat and be happy, also had room for the TV sports, it was all clean and inviting, breakfast was exceptional with so much choice for EVERYONE !!!!!...the dinner we had in the evening was really very good and I have to say very reasonably priced........ALL the staff were helpful, courteous and very friendly.....would thoroughly recommend The White Hart Hotel and we will definitely return...A BIG THANK...
I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, there was a great variety for everyone, and the children's menu was well thought out. The staff were all very friendly, but Vicki truly went above and beyond for us. When she realized that a family member had forgotten their insulin, she was incredibly helpful. I am grateful for her understanding and assistance. Thank you, Vicki, for your exceptional service.
I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The room was clean but outdated, with furniture from the 1970s. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of options, but the cooked breakfast included in the stay was terrible. My husband's full English breakfast had clearly been cooked in a dirty frying pan with lots of fat.
We had stayed overnight and ate dinner. The haloumi fries were lovely and squeaky and the sea bass risotto was superb. The sea bass, shrimp, scallops and mint risotto were perfectly cooked. The risotto rice was al dente and nicely wet to start so that during the meal it remained succulent. It was a real treat.

The hotel was as amazing as always. The staff are so friendly. Especially Ben Laura. Ben checked me in was so helpful. The room was great, dinner was excellent quick service. breakfast service by laura was fantastic. Couldn't recommend the white Hart highly enough. Only downside was lack of parking.
We came for a birthday dinner of 20. Scott and Kay ensured we were all sorted and settled. The service and food was 10/10. Couldn’t have asked for more. The pub has completely changed from before, for the better!
Great central location, great price, wonderful breakfast and ever so willing staff. Bit tired (hotel, not me! but assume the scaffolding around the hotel is a sign of an uplift!
We had a lovely meal with a great attentive service by K. If you are in Braintree, have your meal here in a unique and beautiful historic setting. You won’t be disappointed!

Kay was an excellent host, striking the perfect balance between attentiveness and not being overbearing. She was friendly and had a great sense of humor.
