Hats off to the bakery here. Absolutely incredible offerings that are always baked to perfection. I stop by the bakery anytime I’m hosting guests because I can’t stop sharing about how good it is. We’re very lucky to have them. This is the original, and the best, Whole Foods. Smaller and older than others, it still has the better layout and stock in my opinion. You can get almost anything at this location the workers are very helpful and friendly always asking how you’re doing and if they can help. This location has a large outside seating area. Bonus: the meat, deli and seafood counter staff are very quick and handle long lines well!
I like going through their cheese section. 1924 Blue Cheese or Capricho de Cabra are my favorites. A baguette from their bread section may catch my eye. Or selecting a dried lentil, black, red or green French. But, one of my favorite sections fell victim to COVID, their Olive Bar. They had some of the best flavored Castelvetrano olives, which those in the plastic bags now, just don 't have. And it appears that the 'Dolce K ' Olive Mix is no more. Compare the photo, with their current olive bar. Sad.
I love love the store. I needed a vegan cake for June 11, and Jason was able to take my order and he was so so friendly, helpful and provided the best customer service experience I’ve had in a long time! The store is clean, lots of vegan options and friendly employees. We live 45 minutes away but this is going to be my store for large grocery lists. Thank you!
This is my absolute favorite grocery store in Raleigh! Instead of eating out, we just get delicious dinner items from Whole Foods to safely heat up at home. And we can pick up some groceries in the same trip. The staff is pleasant, the butcher is helpful, and the cheese selection is fantastic.
