We lived in Eagan for 15 years and only discovered Hovies. Best diner we found in all the Twin Cities Metro area and I can't believe it in our city! At first the service was not only good, it was exceptional-the woman who served us was warm and welcoming. And the food! The omelet was filled with cheese. It was pissing hot and the toast also came warm, covered with butter the toast (I hate cold toast with a break of liquid fat). The breakfast cakes were fresh, perfectly crispy and remarkable for the lack of rancid fat to taste that so many diners have on their potatoes. The diner was also CLEAN! It was old, charming, but-and I can't emphasize that enough. The floor was not sticky or slippery....

All you need to know is food made with love. The best breakfast I ever had. Just amazing. I have the Eggs Benedict. Top Notch. 10/10 recommend! Family property: A sweet and friendly family leads this restaurant. You should definitely support this business.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Service was so friendly and top notch. Food was amazing. Makes me angry that I ever went after Perkins. This is simply the best breakfast in Eagan if not the southern subway. Can not recommend enough!

A nice breakfast place. Run by such a friendly family that make sure you are well served. Breakfast is always on site and beautiful
